Too sexy, yeah!

Thelma Lou models her new outfit

T-minus four days until we leave for the Outer Barks. We just finished packing our suitcases and Thelma Lou, of course, is taking twice as many outfits as Roger and I are. In addition to her itsy bitsy teenie weenie yellow polka dot bikini, she has a collection of dresses that would make Lady Gaga jealous. Last weekend when she was with her girlfriends at the mall, she bought a skin tight baby doll t-shirt and a denim mini skirt that she thinks she's going to wear on the first day of school. Well, Dad has news for her. He says she's not leaving the house in it because it shows off entirely too much fur. In an effort to extinguish the heated argument between M&D on the subject, I offered to conduct a poll of my fans to settle the issue.

Should Thelma Lou be allowed to wear her denim mini skirt?

Going Green

As most of you know, Dad is retired which Roger, Thelma Lou and I love. Less time in prison for us. When not cooking and cleaning, Dad spends most of his day with us sitting in the gardens reading and taking care of the plants. He often doesn't wear more than flip-flops and shorts.

After this year's crop of banana plants, Dad decided to go completely green! Honestly I have no idea what he plans to do in the winter. I'm dying to see him craft a cover-up out of snow.

Cone Head the Bark-barian

Cone Head: I remember days like this when Pops took me to the forest and we ate wild blueberries. I was just a pup of four or five months. The leaves were so dark and green then. The grass smelled sweet with the spring wind.
Cone Head: Almost 20 years of pitiless cumber! No rest, no sleep like other dogs. And yet the spring wind blows.
Subotai: Have you ever felt such a wind? They blow where I live too. In the north of every dog’s heart.
Cone Head: It’s never too late, Subotai.
Subotai: No. It would only lead me back here another day. In even worse company.
Cone Head: For us, there is no spring. Just the wind that smells fresh before the storm.
Although not a spring wind, Cone Head the Bark-barian
discovers that there is a spring and partakes in a drink

The Secret is out!

Many of you are probably familiar with the children's book series "Where's Wally" that challenges its readers to find the character Wally who is hidden in a group of people. Just in is a photo submitted by one of my loyal fans, Secret, Amity Hall's What Happens in Vegas, that reminded me of those hidden picture puzzles found in Highlights magazine that I usually read in the waiting room at the dentist's office. Can you find the buried brindle boxer?

Secret slumbers among her fuzzy friends

BTW -- Secret is the sister of my sweetheart, Peanut. While I'm a one-woman kind of guy, Secret comes in as a close second.

NOTE:
No bullies or boxers were injured in the making of this backyard film.

"Cops and Rogers"

Zach explains to Rog the rules of "Cops and Rogers"

Last weekend while Mom and I were at Camp Nita Nee, Roger spent the night at Camp Aunt Burtweena with our niece and nephews. Since he wasn't allowed to play with Josh's new Nintendo DS and it was too stinking hot to be outside jumping on the trampoline with Ally, Zach and Roger came up with the idea to play "Cops and Rogers."
